Glendon Edward Jennings, age 77, passed away on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Glendon "Hambone" Jennings was born in Protem, Missouri on December 10, 1940. He was the son of Elijah and Linda (Coiner) Jennings.
He graduated from Forsyth High School in 1959. He married Katrina Margaret Hampton on June 4, 1960. They started their family in Kansas City, Missouri where he worked as a machinist for General Motors before relocating to Theodosia, Missouri. They had four children, Glenda, Conley, Michael and Clint. Glendon had a love for music and enjoyed playing the mandolin and guitar with family and friends.
He is survived by son Conley and wife Lynda Jennings of Protem, son Michael and wife Crissy Jennings of Kissee Mills; brother Arnold and wife Donna Jennings of Theodosia, sister Charlene Schofield of Theodosia; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Glendon is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Glenda, son Clint, brothers B.F and Raymond and sisters Irene and Jean.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 1, 2018 in the Protem Cemetery, Protem, MO with Rob Dalton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Protem Cemetery or the Gideon's.
