Glenn Lee Stevens

Glenn Lee Stevens, 76 years, 4 months, and 15 days old, passed to Heaven on October 16, 2015 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare.

Glenn was born June 1, 1939 in Randsburg, CA, to Malvern and Mildred (Fanska) Stevens. He graduated from Trona High School in Trona, CA .

Glenn and Marcia Hazeltine were united in marriage on August 31st, 1963 in Covina, CA. and to this union three children were born.

Glenn was employed by the FAA and Yavapai County Road Department in Arizona as a heavy equipment operator for 45 years and belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #12 in southern California. He was also an Army Veteran. Glenn was an expert carpenter and builder, having built the homes he and Marcia raised their family in. He was a gifted mechanic as well and could fix any kind of machinery. His favorite project was his yellow 1967 Ford 250 High Boy. Glenn was an amazing person with many talents and a big heart, never too tired to lend a helping hand to someone in need.

Glenn was preceded by his parents.


Glenn is survived by his wife, Marcia, of the home, three children, Mark Stevens and wife Sheila of Alexandria, VA, Lisa Stevens of Newberry Springs, CA, and Heather Stevens and husband Lloyde of Ava, nine grandchildren, Kalib, Kaitlin, Madeline, Zachary, Ryley, Kellan, Mason, Corey, and Gavin, two brothers, Malvern Stevens and wife Alicia of Joplin, MO, and Carl Stevens and wife Alicia of Ava, as well as many neices, nephews, other family and friends.


A graveside service for Glenn will be Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Fannon cemetery with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Smith. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, P.O. Box 303, Mtn. Grove, MO 65711. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
