Glennferd Dean Lyon, 71, of Dora, MO passed away November 18, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1950 in Poplar Bluff, MO to George Washington and Telesa (Brames) Lyon.

On June 11, 2005, Dean was united in marriage to Marcia Gossett Foust at Wimpy's Resort in Mtn Home, AR. Dean was retired from truck driving and various other jobs. He had a farm at Dora, MO. He loved hunting, fishing, owning cattle and he owned mules for many years. His true love was coon hunting with his prize dogs Duchess, Bo (Bojangles), and Sissy & Sassy. He also served in the United States Navy.

Dean is survived by his wife Marcia Lyon; one son Jason Dean Lyon and fiancé Shauna Kocizky of Imperial, MO; daughter Dena Lyon Welch of Florrisant, MO; grandchildren Autumn and Alyssa Lyon of Imperial, MO, Ryan Hammond, Jacob and Samuel Welch of Florrisant, MO; one sister Jean Woodard of Van Buren, MO; nieces Keri Lyon Baker, Noelle Sliker and Mechelle Lyon.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Telesa Lyon; and one brother George Lyon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts and Nathan Phenix officiating.

Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Pacific, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
