Gloria Frances Gray

Gloria Frances Gray, 85 years, 3 months, and 7 days old, passed to Heaven on March 30, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

Gloria was born December 13, 1928 in Pottawatomie County, Kansas to Samuel Groves and Frances Picolet.

On June 18, 1960 Gloria and John Gray were united in marriage in Winterhaven, California and to this union a family of fifteen children were born.

Gloria had a passion for caring for others. After working at Chastain's Nursing Home for over 15 years, she continued to work as a Nurse until she was unable to work due to health problems.

She was a Christian and a very spiritual person.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters; Margaret Cooper, Nancy Gray and Darlene Schaub, three sons; David Day, Daniel Day and John David Gray.

Gloria is survived by three sons; Steven Day, Larry Day, and Jim Gray, six daughters; Sharon and Roy Hicks, Linda and Randy Fair, Barbara Day, Bonnie and Paul Pierson, Donna Gunell and Carol Young, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Gloria will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 6:00-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Griffith. Memorials may be made to the Charity of Choice.
