Golda Marie Goin, 92 years, 11 months, and 8 days old, passed to heaven on December 5, 2011 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.
Golda was born December 28, 1918 in Douglas County, MO to Jim and Eva (Johnson) Scribner.
On Feb. 19, 1938 Golda and Truman Goin were united in marriage in Oldfield, MO and to this union three children were born.
She was a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Golda loved raising a garden, especially tomatoes, cooking and quilting. Making pies was her specialty and especially her lemon pies. Her joy was spending time with her grandchildren, her church family and friends.
Golda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Truman, one son, Ronald Goin, two brothers, two sisters.
Golda is survived by one son, Gale & Sue Goin, Oldfield, MO and one daughter, Roberta & Mike Patrick, Saint Augustine, FL, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one brother, Art Scribner, Hemmett, CA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Golda will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mound Baptist Church on T. Highway with burial in the Hall Cemetery @ Mound. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Jason Wilson. Memorials may be made to Hall Cemetery at Mound.
