Guy William Scott

Guy William Scott, 101 years, 3 months, passed away on October 6, 2020 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Guy was born July 6, 1919 in Almartha, MO to Jacob and Maggie Lela (Stewart) Scott.

He was a U. S. Army Veteran and served during WWII.

On May 18, 1963 Guy and Glenda Davis were united in marriage at Ava, MO and were blessed with a daughter, Jennifer.

He was a Carpenter for many years and also a farmer. He loved his horses and enjoyed country and bluegrass music.

Guy was a Christian and a  member of First General Baptist Church.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Steve Fitzgerald, and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda of the home, four children and their spouses, Jennifer & Brian Hesterlee of Ava, Barbara & John Finelli, Debbie Fitzgerald and Rebecca & Patrick O'Malley,11 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Guy will be Monday, October 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Ava Cemetery with full military honors by the Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Army. A Visitation will be prior to the service Monday from 9:00 A.M. to service time.  Officiating will be Pastor Robert Roberts. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Due to the Covid 19 virus we highly recommend people attending to wear masks. Thank you.
