"Gone Home" Harlin Windle Johnson, 87 years, 5 months, 19 days old, passed to Heaven on December 7, 2022 at his home with family by his side. Harlin went home to Jesus wrapped in the throw lovingly made by Nicky.

Harlin was born June 19, 1935 in Smallett, MO to Wilbert and Edna Mae (Pratt) Johnson.

He grewup in the McClurg, Brownbranch community. He graduated in 1953 from Bradleyville High School. Harlin was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960 then he served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1964.

He was a Christian and had been led to the Lord by his special friend, Adrain Owen.       Harlin loved his cattle and was an excellent horseman, raising and riding Missouri Foxtrotters. In later years he was seen up and down Caney creek on his trusty fourwheeler. He also had enjoyed coon hunting with his hounds, Sam and Sadie. Although having lived in Ava 50+ years, home was always the "home place" on Caney Creek.

Harlin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Kay of the home, niece and nephews; Tammy & Kenny Studyvin, Ronnie & Shirley Evans and Christopher & Lindsey Bishop; great nieces and nephews, Nicky & Kevin Severs, Garrett & Sidney Haden, Jessica Evans & Gannon Kays, Jeremy Evans, Jodie & Luke Aitken; great great nieces and nephews, Remington, Preston, Kentleigh, Laramie, Sophia, Tristen, Teagen and Traleigh and he was so looking forward to a new great great in April.
