Harold Cantrell, 81 years, 6 months, and 13 days old, passed to heaven on March 15, 2017 at his home in Fordland, Missouri.

Harold was born September 2, 1935 in Graff, Missouri to Lester Vern and Geneva Bell (Atchley) Cantrell.


Harold and Nelda Owens were united in marriage and to this, union five children were born.


Harold and Donna Armstrong were united in marriage on August 3, 1965 in Miami, OK. Together, they owned and operated a trucking business for many years, leasing to Hirschbach Trucking for seventeen years.


Harold and Lacy (Ferrell) Hughes were united in marriage on June 27, 2015 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.



When Harold was younger, he enjoyed trick skiing. Harold enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He liked dancing, listening to music and enjoying his favorite dog, Rudy. He really loved spending time with his family and friends.



Harold was preceded by his parents, his second wife, Donna in 2013, an infant son, Harold Cantrell Jr. and two brothers, Gary and Jerry Cantrell.

Harold is survived by his dog, Rudy, his wife, Lacy Cantrell, of the home, ten children, Dan Cantrell, Joplin, MO, Marretta Voyles and husband Terry, Licking, MO, Les Cantrell and wife Lisa, Lynchburg, MO, Marty Cantrell, Waynesville, MO, Marcie Cantrell, Dixon, MO, Judy and Skeeter Bastin, Ava, MO, Kathleen Potter and husband Robert, Ava, MO, Leslie Gale Johnson and husband Dennis, Williams, MN, Carla Conley and husband Keith, Fordland, MO, and Daniel Lee Reeves, Florida, twenty grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many other friends and relatives.


Funeral services for Harold will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Donald Potter. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery.
