HAROLD L. "TOONEY" RUSSELL
Harold L. "Tooney" Russell passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center in Gainesville, MO at the age of 87. He was born September 22, 1926 in Kansas City, KS to the late John T. and Minnie Bell (Smith) Russell.
He was raised in Kansas City, KS and had been in the car business for many years in the Kansas City area. He married Marilyn Fleming in Maui, Hawaii on October 12, 1978. After retiring they moved to Isabella, MO in 1990 where he spent his time fishing and golfing for 2 years. After 2 years he started "Tooney's Emporium & Pawn". Tooney and Marilyn were happily married for over 34 years. In fact, Tooney passed away 2 days prior to what would have been their 35th Wedding Anniversary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons Don, Ron and John; four brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife Marilyn; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO with Jim Kyle officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, your favorite charity, or church.
