HAZEL C. HATHAWAY
Hazel C. Hathaway, 94, of Gainesville, MO passed away on November 21, 2015 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born on October 27, 1921 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Hugo and Amanda (Schwarz) Maedge.
In her youth Hazel graduated from Lake View High School in Chicago and enjoyed roller skating, ice skating and fishing the Chain O' Lakes.
In June of 1942, Hazel married Charles Hathaway and enjoyed their life together until Charles passed away in 2006. Their final residence was on County Road 608 north of Gainesville, MO.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Hugo and Amanda Maedge; her husband Charles; one sister Vivian Maedge; and four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is survived by one sister-in-law Ruby Marley of Koshkonong, MO and several nephews and nieces.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO.
