HELEN ALEENE CRAIG
Helen Aleene Craig, the eldest daughter of Arthur and Mary (Moore) Craig, passed away at West Vue Nursing Home in West Plains, MO on March 20, 2011 at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 16 days. She was born on December 4, 1918 in Blythedale, MO.
Helen graduated from the Blythedale Public School in 1936. She left home and worked at St. Joseph, MO for a few years and then returned to Blythedale. For the past 20 years she lived in Gainesville, MO where she lived in her own home so she could be near her two sisters and her niece and husband, Sue and Eldon Dale. Helen was a Christian and member of the Christian Church in Blythedale, MO.
She is survived by three sisters Beatrice Leedy of West Plains, MO, Jeanell Craig of Gainesville, MO, and Eugenia Elmore of Gainesville, MO; one brother Darryl Craig of Blythedale, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Blythedale, MO with Dennis Craig officiating. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
