HELEN MARIE SANDERS
Helen Marie Sanders, 89, Flippin, AR, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2009 in Mountain Home, AR. She was born on March 31, 1920 in Bakersfield, MO to William Poynter and Faye (Hathcock) Poynter. Faye later divorced and married John Schultz Sr. who died in 1963.
On July 13, 1940 Marie was united in marriage to James Pat Sanders in Van Buren, MO. She lived a wonderful 89 years and touched the hearts of everyone. She was a beautician and homemaker. Her loving husband Pat Sanders preceded her in death in 1984 and her only child, Marcella, died in 1997.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by three brothers John Schultz and his wife Dorothy of Theodosia, MO; Bob Schultz and his wife Mary of Bull Shoals, AR; Charles Schultz and his wife Jackie of Flippin, AR; one sister-in-law Jane Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter Marcella; and one brother Frank Schultz.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2009 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. Interment will be in the Gainesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.
