Helene Ann Elizabeth Freeman-Dixon

Helene Dixon, 82 years, 11 months, and 6 days old, passed to Heaven on March 11, 2016 at Woodhaven Senior Care Center, Ellinwood, KS.

Helene was born April 5, 1933 in Ava, MO to Ulysses and Rebecca (Clinton) Freeman. She Attended Ava High School.

Helene and Gerald (Gerry) Dixon were united in marriage on September 30, 1963 at Miami, OK.

Helene worked as a home health care professional, she also drove the flag car for Gerry when he delivered mobile homes all over the country. She loved camping at the lake and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Helene was preceded in death by her parents, a son Albert Dixon, three great-grandchildren, Jonas, Hope and Faith, and her siblings, Elmer and Edith, who died as infants, Gladys Jones, Limon Freeman, Raymond Freeman, Luetta Brown, Erma Dry, Louis Freeman, Hazel Hicks, Barbara Zeal and Clifford Freeman.

Helene is survived by her husband, Gerald, her daughter, Arlene Williams, Ontario, OR, her son, Gerry Dixon and wife, Carrie, Franklin Lakes, NJ, four grandchildren, Jason Morin, Pilot Station, AK. Kelly Jones, Payette, ID, Katie Dixon and Blake Dixon, Franklin Lakes, NJ, great-grandchildren, Madison, Kendall, Ryan and Molly, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.


Graveside services for Helene will be Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Brushy Knob Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 18th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
