Henrietta Leota "Butch" Pinckney

Wasola, MO

Henrietta Leota Pinckney, 82 years, passed to heaven on December 9, 2009 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Henrietta was born April 3, 1927 in Remmel, AR to Sidney and Mary (Koettel) Proctor.

On April 21, 1944 Henrietta and John "Jack" Austin Pinckney were united in marriage in Wichita, KS and to this union two daughters were born.
Henrietta "Butch" and Jack met while working together at Boeing Manufacturing in Wichita, KS. She also worked at Stuart Hall Paper Factory for 36 years. Henrietta enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, gardening, camping, cooking with the grandkids and great grandkids. Most of all her joy was in teasing, joking and being with all of her family. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ and enjoyed recently going to church with Linda and Eddie.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John "Jack" Pinckney, two brothers, Dallas and JL Proctor, one sister Alfa Miller, two grandsons, Lloyd and Kevin Stewart, a niece Brenda Lee Pinckney and a nephew, Samuel Norviel.

Henrietta is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sharon & Edgar Paul Stewart and Linda & Eddie Sears all of Wasola, MO, seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, one brother, Gene Wallace Proctor, Magnolia, DE, five sisters, Dorothy Roy and Edwina Piker both of Independence, MO, Mary Lou Murphree, Little Rock, AR, Barbara Ann McCall, Chino, CA and Sidney Norviel, Hickory Ridge, AR, one sister-in-law, Betty Proctor, Jonesboro, AR, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Henrietta will be Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Pinckney. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery or American Cancer Society.
