Hershel Dwayne Adams, 71 years, 7 months, and 5 days old, passed to heaven on January 26, 2011 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.

Dwayne was born June 21, 1939 in Douglas County, MO to Hershel and Nancy Agnes (Doublin) Adams.

Dwayne was a resident of Sparta community for several years. He was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Navy.

On Oct. 25, 1964 Dwayne and Patricia Ann Johnson were united in marriage and to this union two children were born.

Dwayne was retired from working with the Zenith Plant in Springfield, MO for 27 years.

Later, on April 17, 1992 Dwayne and Ruby (Stephens) Berry were united in marriage in Ozark, MO.

Dwayne was a member of the Ozark General Baptist Church in Ozark, MO.
Dwayne enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding and canoeing. He loved just being with his family and good friend, Ken Wiles.

Dwayne is survived by his wife, Ruby Adams, Sparta, MO, two children, Kevin Keith Adams & Rebecca, Sparta, MO and Jeanna Kay Adams, Bonne Terre, MO,
two step children, Lemuel Sherman & Debra Berry, Mansfield, MO and Robert Wendell Berry, Sparta, MO, two granddaughters, Candace Adams and Emily Grace Adams, 13 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, one brother, Delmar Eugene Adams, Ava, MO, two sisters, Freada M. Johnson & husband, James, Oxford, KS and Sandra Kay Perry, Ava, MO, one uncle, Rudolph Doublin, Hemmitt, CA, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dwayne will be Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Cremation will follow services. Memorials may be made to the family as a Love offering or to Charity of choice.
