Obituary

Hettie Mary (Price) Cooper, 79 years, passed away on October 11, 2010 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.

Hettie was born May 30, 1931 in Wasola, MO to Jessie and Mattie (Martin) Price. She graduated from Gainesville High School.

Hettie was a lifelong resident of the Wasola community. She was proud to be a Farmer and she also worked for several years at Rockbridge Trout Ranch. On August 25, 1979 Hettie and Homer James Cooper were united in marriage in Wasola, MO. He preceded in death.

She was a Christian and attended the churches in Romance and the Noble community. Hettie enjoyed caretaking all of her nieces and nephews over the years. She enjoyed hunting, quilting, flowers and gardening.

Hettie was preceded by her parents, her husband, Homer James Cooper, two brothers, Doy and Audie Price and one nephew, Roger Burnett.

Hettie is survived by two sisters, Virginia Burnett, Pottersville, MO, Glenda Beach, Independence, MO, two brothers & their spouses, Lynn & Norma Price, Holden, MO and Lyle & Betty Price, Wasola, MO, sister-in-law, Emogene Price, Ava, MO, many nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends.



Funeral services for Hettie will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m., October 14, 2010, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO. Officiating is Rev. Ronnie Pinckney. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO.
