Hilda E. Caudle

Ava, MO

Hilda E. Caudle, 81 years, 2 months, and 24 days old, passed to Heaven on August 3, 2015 at Lake Stockton Healthcare in Stockton, MO with her sons by her side.

Hilda was born May 10, 1934 in Laclede County, MO, Drynob community to William Watson and Verna (Crocker) Elmore. She graduated from Lebanon High School and later received her B.S. Degree in Education from Southwest Missouri State College (MSU) in Springfield, MO.

Hilda was a resident of the Ava community for many years.
She was a retired Ava Middle School Teacher and had taught for over 36 years.

Hilda was a devoted member of Ava First Southern Baptist Church.


On April 1, 1954 Hilda and Eugene Caudle were united in marriage in Cassville, MO and to this union three children were born.

Hilda was lovingly involved in her children and grandchildren's activities. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, her daughter, Kristi Caudle McIntosh, a daughter-in-law, Kitty Caudle, and former husband, Eugene Caudle.

Hilda is survived by two sons and their spouses, Robin & Patricia Caudle, Holton, KS and Kevin & Kelly Caudle, Stockton, MO, five grandchildren, Tyler (Emily) Caudle, Kayla (Steve) Swensen, Chase McIntosh, Chance Caudle and Katie Caudle, one great grandson, Beau Caudle, and other relatives and many friends.


Funeral services for Hilda will be Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Southern Baptist Church in Ava with burial at 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Rose Cemetery, Lebanon, MO. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Nolan Carrier and Pastor Dick Bishop. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Southern Baptist Church, Ava, MO or American Heart Assoc.
