Howard Lee Thomas, 76 years, 4 months, 6 days old, passed away on December 6, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Howard was born July 31, 1940 in Douglas County, MO to Oscar and Dale (Letterman) Thomas.

Howard was a retired Real Estate Investor and Bus Driver for City Utilities of Springfield for many years.

Howard was a Christian and attended church with his mother, Dale. Howard had a strong work ethic, he worked hard all his life. He endeavored in creating and inventing. He also enjoyed fishing, welding, construction and mechanic work.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Gordon and Dwight Thomas.

Howard is survived by two sons, Ricky Thomas, Clever, MO and Randy Thomas, Ozark, MO, one grandson, Brandon Thomas, one great grandson, Skyler Thomas, siblings, Annabelle Walker, Mansfield, MO, Jerry Thomas and Connie Osburn both of Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Howard will be Sat., Dec. 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO . Visitation will be Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Stillings Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Lyle Wright. Memorials may be made to Stillings Cemetery.
