Huba Ann Pruiett

Huba Pruiett, 87, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015, at Genesis – Illini Medical Center in Silvis, IL.
Huba Ann Owen was born August 23, 1928, in Goodhope, MO, daughter of James A. and Lunora (Thompson) Owen. She graduated from Ava High School.
She was married to Wesley McFarlin, and later in life, to Thetis Pruiett. Huba had made Moline her home for several years, and was owner and operator of Huba's Beauty Shop on 16th Street. She was a member of the Better Business Bureau. She loved being with her family and friends, and enjoyed meeting new people. Huba never met a stranger.
Survivors include daughters, Bev (Floyd) Nidey of LeClaire, IA, and Becky (Howard) Lindstrom of Loves Park, IL; sister, Inetha Madison of Moline, and brothers, Colbert Owen of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Adrain Owen of Ava, MO; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and nine siblings.
A visitation will be held Monday, September 28th, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. The services for Huba will be Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial following in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Officiating is Rev. Joe "Cub" Lafferty. Visitation in Ava will be Thursday from 1 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
