Ima Stillings

Ima Dean Stillings, 87 years, 1 month, 30 days old, went home to Heaven on November 11, 2017 at the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center in Forsyth, MO with her loving family by her side.

Ima was born September 12, 1930 in Ava, MO to Wayne Wesley and Maudie (Heath) Thomas.

On September 9, 1950 Ima and Neil Stillings were united in marriage at Mtn. Home, AR and they were blessed with two children, Arliss Ray and Jennifer Kay.

Neil preceded in death in 2005. Later on in life she married Nelson Sellers in June of 2009. Nelson also preceded her in death.

Ima worked as a wonderful Sales Representative for AVON Products for many years. She sold Avon in the Ava, Forsyth, and Branson communities for 52 years!

She was a Christian and attended church with her family. Ima loved singing and performing with her band, The 49er's. She also loved to host music/card parties, and socializing with her friends and family.

Ima was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Neil, and later her second husband, Nelson Sellers, two brothers, Delmer and Arlie Thomas, and one sister, Frieda Thurman. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Arliss & Linda Stillings, Forsyth, MO, and Jennifer & Keith Dougherty, Branson, MO, four grandchildren, Elisha Neil and wife, Mandy, Jonas Peter, Kelsey Christian, and Darby Keegan, two brothers, Lowell Thomas, Springfield, MO, and Dale Thomas, Ava, MO, one sister, Juanita Eddings, Belleville, IL, several nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ima will be Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with a visitation prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ava Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
