IMOGENE GRISHAM
Imogene Grisham, 83, of Gainesville passed away July 28, 2017 at 6:42 p.m. after an incredibly courageous battle with cancer. She was born to Isaac "Edd" and Charlcie Hampton in Ocie, MO on July 30, 1933.
Imogene was a 1951 graduate of Gainesville High School. On August 11, 1952, she was united in marriage to Bobby Grisham in Mountain Home, AR. To this union one daughter, Greta, was born. Imogene was a retired cosmetologist and owned her own Beauty Shop for seventeen years in Wichita, KS. Imogene's foundation for life was when she committed her life to Christ at the age of fourteen. Her relationship with the Lord sustained her during her illness. In her words "I'm not worried about the cancer because I know where I'm going." She is a member of First Baptist Church in Gainesville. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning!! She was especially known for her pie making skills and loved to please people with their favorite pie. She fought a good fight, she kept the faith and now she's enjoying her 84th birthday in Heaven.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Betty Lou Hampton and brother Troy Hampton. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 65 years, Bobby Grisham; one daughter Greta Bradley and husband Sam of Springfield, MO; her sisters Almeda Wyman of Kissee Mills, MO and Carma Frazier of Gainesville, MO; brothers E.J. Hampton and wife Faye and Tommy Hampton of wife Brenda all of Wasola, MO and Bobby Hampton and wife Marsha of Seneca, MO; brother-in-law Larry Grisham and wife Sonja of Gainesville, MO; sister-in-law Virginia Kastning of Wichita, KS; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation with family is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Funeral services will follow at 11a.m. with Adam Drumm and Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lilly Ridge Cemetery or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
