Iva Nora McGee

Iva Nora McGee, 71 years, 4 months, and 6 days old, passed away on July 16, 2012 at Marshfield Care Center, Marshfield, MO.

Iva was born March 10, 1941 in Loyalton, CA to Ervin William and Fannie (Hillhouse) Jones.

Iva was a resident of the Ava community for several years. On April 3, 1958 Iva and Ernest Glenn McGee Jr. were united in marriage in Tijuana, Mexico and to this union two sons were born. Iva was co-owner/manager alongwith her husband, Glenn of the Almartha Saddle Shop just north of Ava.

She was a Christian and attended the Ava General Baptist Church. Iva enjoyed fishing, boating and being with her friends and family.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn in 2007, one sister, Madge Moses and one brother, James Jones.


Iva is survived by two sons and their spouses, Allen & Melinda McGee and Roy E. & Debora McGee all of Ava, MO, three grandchildren, Kathleen Renee McGee, Maryland Heights, MO, Shaun Michael McGee, Columbia, MO and Brandon Eugene McGee, St. Louis, MO, two great grandchildren, Destiny and Gage, both of Columbia, MO,
a brother, Robert Jones, Ava, MO, three sisters, Hazel Hand, Mary Harmon and Patricia Smith all of Marshfield, MO,a sister-n-law, Jean Kelly, Torrance, CA, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Iva will be Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
