Ival Wayne Lakey, 55 years, passed away on December 4, 2013 at his home in Lebanon, MO.
Wayne was born June 9, 1958 in Mansfield, MO to Ival Lyle and Beverly Karen (Tate) Lakey.
Wayne was a resident of Lebanon, MO and former resident of Douglas County. He grew up in the Ava area and went to Ava High School.
He had worked in a Saw Mill for several years as a Head Sawyer. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and loved being in the outdoors. He especially delighted in being with his grandchildren.
Wayne was preceded by his parents. He is survived by two children; Ival Shayne Lakey, Lebanon, MO and Shawna Denny, Indianapolis, IN, four grandchildren; Evan Lakey, Shelby Denny, Paige Denny and Halle Denny, one brother; Lyle Blaine Lakey, Gainesville, MO, two sisters; Linda Downs, Mtn. Grove, MO and Renee Coy, Strafford, MO, a special aunt; Rhonda (Tate) McNamer and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family graveside service for Wayne will be Tuesday, December 10, 2013, 10:00 a.m. in the Loftin Cemetery, east of Ava. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Darrell Gunter.
