Obituary

Jack Rettenbach passed away Sunday morning, July 11th, 2010 at the home he loved, in Isabella, Missouri; he was 78 years old. Jack was born on March 31st, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jacob and Helen (Scheer) Rettenbach.

He married his beloved sweetheart, Geraldine Bachorz, in Justice, Illinois on September 6th, 1952. He served two years in the Army as part of the Korean War. As a lifetime member of the International Association of Machinists, Jack worked in the Pepsodent division of the Lever Bros. Company. He loyally served them for 31 years, and retired in 1987 to his home on Bull Shoals Lake, in Isabella, Missouri.

Jack and his wife fell in love with the Bull Shoals Lake area, meeting many friends and loved ones along the way. He loved spending time on the lake, either as a member of the Ozark Mountain Bass Club, taking fishing lessons from Gerry, or serving as fishing guide and mentor to his friends and family. Jack was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Isabella, and took on vital rolls within the congregation. Jack made many friends during his 20+ years spent in the Bull Shoals area, all of who will greatly miss him.

Jack Rettenbach is survived by his godchildren, Steven and Linda Rehnberg, Kathy and John Weller, and Debbie Nicosia; brother-in-law Tom (Rose) Bachorz and nephew T.J. Bachorz; and grandchildren, Eric and Kyle Rehnberg, Dale (Starlyn) Weller, and Katherine (Dan) Schulte. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine Rettenbach, and parents Jacob and Helen Rettenbach.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Isabella, Missouri, at 10AM, on Friday, July 16th, with Pastor Mickey Wilkey officiating. Burial will be at Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 15th from 5 to 7 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Faith Lutheran Church.
