JACKIE RAY MCGINNIS
Jackie Ray McGinnis, 61, of Theodosia, MO passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving just north of Thornfield, MO. He was born July 20, 1954 to Junior and Mary (Jones) McGinnis in Kansas City, KS weighing only one and a half pounds.
He attended school in Kansas before entering the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked in various jobs throughout the United States, but most of all, he liked working on Grandpa Lonnie's farm. He also loved his old truck. Jackie was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the family home in Theodosia; three sons Jason McGinnis of Crystal City, MO, Joey McGinnis of Ava, MO, James McGinnis of Mansfield, MO; eight grandchildren; five sisters: Sharon (Russ) Thompson of Springfield, MO, Sandra (Kenny) Tharp of Springfield, MO, Selina (Rick) Burtchett of Ava, MO, Judy McGinnis of Ava, MO, Teresa (Stacey) Miller of Ava, MO; his aunts Patsy (Charlie) Cheek, Beulah McGinnis, Pauline McGinnis and Shirley Jones; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
He was preceded in death by one son Dustin; his parents; grandparents; two sisters Susan and Sheila.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
