Jake Rodgers, 22 years, 0 months, 1 day old, passed away on February 11, 2017 at Cox's Medical Center South in Springfield, MO.

Jake was born February 10, 1995 in Houston, MO to Howard Leroy "Lee" Rodgers and Lisa (Mott).

Jake was working at Asplundh Tree Expert Co. in Springfield, MO as an Arborist.

He was a Christian and had been attending Wolf Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Mansfield, MO. Jake enjoyed his work and loved tree trimming. He took a lot of pride in his work. Jake also enjoyed being in the outdoors and he loved being with his friends and his dog, Belle.

Jake was preceded in death by his grandpas, Robert Mott and Pat Greeley.

Jake is survived by his parents, Lee & Tracy Rodgers and Lisa & Garry Hicks all of Ava, MO, two sisters, Ashley Hicks and Brenna Rodgers, both of Ava, grandparents, Lois Mott, Ava, MO, Carolyn Greeley, McClurg, MO, Gary & Janie Streight, Ava, MO, aunts, uncles, and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Jake will be Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wolf Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Mansfield, MO (Hwy 5 north of Mansfield). with burial following in the Fannon Cemetery, Ava, MO. Visitation will be Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. to service time in the church. Officiating will be Pastor Brandon McIntosh and Pastor Robert Roberts. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Gideon's International.
