James "Jim" Allen, 80, of Gainesville, MO passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 peacefully at home. He was born December 5, 1943 in Youngstown, OH to Lloyd and Alice Allen.

Jim moved to California in his teens and later became a successful business owner. Upon his retirement in 2004 he moved to Ozark County where he enjoyed travel, fishing, watching the Cardinals and Chiefs and repairing sewing machines.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sue Allen of the home; sister Lois Marklein of Gainesville; special friends Doris Venable, and Steve & Jan Splettstoesser, all of California; 6 stepchildren; granddaughters Holly Ferreira and Corryne Chenowth of California; many cousins; nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law Ron & Jeri Allen; one stepson Morris and his first wife Phyllis Allen.

As per his wishes, no services are planned. Cremation services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
