JAMES "JIM" BREWER
James "Jim" Brewer, 70 years old, died August 31, 2018 at his home in Lakeview, AR. He was born August 9, 1948 in Wichita, KS to Joe and Hazel (Duggins) Brewer.
Jim was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam era as a sniper. After the war, he worked for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, KS for many years until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and in earlier days ride bulls.
He is survived by one daughter Scarlett Brewer, one son Jessie Brewer both of Wichita, KS; his mother Hazel Brewer of Gainesville, MO; sister Charlene Graham of Gainesville, MO; and brother Rocky Brewer of Lakeview, AR who was his constant caregiver and best friend; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Joe Brewer; his former wife Jan Brewer; and one son Bryce Brewer.
A Memorial service with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Mammoth Assembly of God Church south of Gainesville, MO with Gale Wooten officiating.
The family asks for memorials to be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
