JAMES H. DANIEL

James Daniel, son of Silas and Leeora (Gillmore) Daniel was born October 19, 1917 in Nottinghill, Missouri and passed away July 9, 2008 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90.

James was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. He was a Private First Class were he qualified as a Rifle Marksman. He was honorably discharged on June 24, 1943.

On July 15, 1943, James married Geneva Rose in Hardenville, Missouri. To this union one daughter was born, Karyn. James spent most of his life as a farmer. He was a man of hard work and few words, a combination that has earned him much respect.

He is survived by one daughter, Karyn Hickman and her husband Charlie of Henderson, Arkansas; two grandchildren Jason Hickman and Vanessa Hickman Billinger; and five great grandchildren Bryston, Reece, Trenton, Rysta, and Kaitlyn.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Daniel in September of 2001; his parents Silas and Leeora Daniel; one brother Murl Daniel, and two sisters Verda Gaulding and Dott Luna.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 10:00AM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Tom Johnson and Jim Kyle officiating. Interment will be at Sims Cemetery in Gainesville. Visitation will be open Monday, July 14, 2008 from 9AM til 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
