James "Bucky" Allen DeWitt, 59, Brixey, MO passed away on October 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born on November 15, 1950 in Goshan, NY, the son of Roy and Evelyn (Batt) DeWitt.

James was a truck driver for many years. He loved to work on old cars. He built a 1931 Ford and a 1956 Chevy, both from scratch. He was a real "Gear Head". James also had a passion for guns. He loved to target shoot. He reloaded all of his own ammunition. He was an easy going and fun loving man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. DeWitt was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Evelyn DeWitt; and one brother David DeWitt. He is survived by Carol Lightner DeWitt of the home in Brixey, MO; one daughter Kimberly Cook of Bloomingburg, NY; one son James David DeWitt also of New York; and one sister Cheryl Toby and her husband Billy of Arkansas.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
