James Kenneth Evans

James Kenneth Evans, 81, of Aurora, MO passed away November 18, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born September 1, 1939 in West Plains, MO to Jim and Leta (Ford) Evans.

James graduated from Gainesville High School class of 1957. On July 8, 1957 he was united in marriage to Loretta Crisp. To this union three sons were born Clint, Mark and Jim. James and Loretta spent nearly 57 years together until her passing in 2014. She was the love of his life!

James followed his work in the stave mill industry for several years before settling in Aurora, MO in 1977. He began a career in real estate working as an appraiser, but his passion was fly fishing and fly tying. He was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his three sons: Clint Evans and wife Susan of Springfield, MO, Mark Evans and wife Bobbie of Franklin, TN, Jim Evans and wife Dawn of Star City, AR; three grandchildren James, Michael and Brittany; three great grandchildren; and one brother Ron Evans and wife Susan of Lexington, N. C.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Leta Evans; and his beloved wife Loretta Evans.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery, Gainesville, MO. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
