James Marquis Hood Jr.
Dora, MO
James Marquis Hood Jr., 69, of Dora, MO passed to heaven on October 18, 2011 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. He was born March 15, 1942 in the state of Indiana to James Sr. and Mary (Harrington) Hood.
James graduated from Mountain Home High School, Mtn. Home, AR class of 1961. After high school he moved to Kansas City and began working for General Motors. He retired from G.M. in the 1980's as a Supervisor and moved back to Dora, MO. James was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and kayaking. He also liked to stay in shape by riding his bicycle. James was a Christian. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Hood; and two brothers Noah Walton Hood and Bill Hood.
