James Hudson

James McKinley Hudson, 84 years, 11 months, 4 days old, passed away on April 8, 2018 at his home.

James was born May 4, 1933 in Gainesville, Missouri to Ambrose McKinley and Mable Olive (Red) Hudson.

He graduated from Gainesville High School in 1950.  James grew up working at the family homestead as a farmer.  He drove a flat bed truck hauling can milk for many years, then upgraded to bulk milk.  His family milked cows and hauled hay for most of his life.

James and Marcelline Doran Hinrichs were united in marriage on January 22, 1982 in Douglas County, Missouri. He was also married to Freda Loftis for 25 years and had four children.

He lived and loved fishing, hunting and playing his guitars, while living at his farm near Romance, Missouri for 54 years.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Freda Loftis, five siblings, Maxine Rodriguez, Lorene Rimmer, Joseph Jarrett Hudson, Sue McClung and Larry Hudson.

He is survived by his wife, Marcelline of Ava, MO, four children, Carol Taylor of Spokane, MO, Donald Hudson of Gainesville, Jamie Hudson of Thornfield and Doug Hudson of Gainesville, three step-children, Jacklyn Jennings, Roger Hinrichs, and Danny Hinrichs, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, one sister, Maggie Gage, many neices and nephews that he loved dearly.

At his request, cremation and final resting place at Loftis Cemetery beside his parents.  Close family members will be invited to a graveside memorial service at a later date.  Memorials can be made to the Loftis Cemetery. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
