JAMES "LOYD" LININGER
James Loyd Lininger, 84, of Kansas City, MO passed away on March 4, 2013 at North Kansas City Hospital. Loyd was born February 3, 1929 in Gainesville, MO to Carl Everett and Ella Bertha (Allen) Lininger.
He lived most of his life in Kansas City. On June 25, 1966 he was united in marriage to Rena Chisam at the Avondale United Methodist Church where he was a faithful member. Loyd retired from Armco Steel following 30 years as a foundry worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Fray Lininger; one sister Flomay Smith; two daughters Linda Marlene Shannon and Deloris Shelton; and a granddaughter Jennifer Shannon. He is survived by his wife, Rena, of the home; sons Delmar High and wife Joanne of Kansas City, MO and Lawrence Lininger and wife Lynn of Gainesville, MO; daughters Redina Burge and husband Dennis of Parkville, MO and Wanda Sue Misasi and husband Sam of Liberty, MO; a sister Chloe Starkey and husband John of Belton, MO; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Avondale United Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. A second visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Isabella Cemetery, Isabella, MO. Contributions are suggested to the Avondale United Methodist Church or Isabella Cemetery.
