James Robert Roberts, 63 years, 8 months, and 24 days old, died of cancer on December 8, 2012 at Ava Place, Ava, MO.
Jim was born March 15, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Conrad P. Frank and Betty Jean Roberts.
Jim was raised by his maternal grandparents, George and Helen Roberts, where he joined his cousin Jerry Morton.
He was a long time resident of Douglas county. He lived in Evans and Champion community for fifty-eight years and later lived for five months at the Ava Place.
He was a 1967 graduate of Ava High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Helen Roberts, three uncles Bill, Junior and Jim Roberts and his aunt H. Marie (Morton) Gonzales.
Jim is survived by his cousin/brother, Jerry Morton (Jo), Norwood, MO, birth mother Betty Pennock, Aunt Ima Davis and a host of other relatives & friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Jim's cremains will be buried at a later date and time in the Evansdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, 807 N. Main, Suite 1, Mtn. Grove, MO 65711.
