JAMES W. STAMPER

James Wiley Stamper passed away Thursday evening, January 25, 2007 at St. John's Regional Healthcare in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 74 years. James was born on April 12, 1932 in Ava, Missouri to Orville Stamper and Carrie (Wheeler) Stamper. A Veteran during the Korean Conflict, James served in the US Army. On March 7, 1987 James and Marjorie Rockett were married in Liberty, Missouri. James retired from Trans World Airlines as a lead inspector in 1987, and James and Marjorie moved to the Ozarks, making their home in Theodosia, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Stamper of the home in Theodosia, 2 daughters Chrystee Carpenter and husband John Graham and Sheri Lowers and husband Robert, both of Overland Park, Kansas, 2 grandchildren Ryan Lowers and Matthew Carpenter. Brothers and sisters Laymon Stamper and wife Zelda of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, Audine Olson of Kansas City, Missouri, Ralph Stamper of Shell Knob, Missouri, Lotis Hart and husband Charles of Kansas City, Missouri, and Shirley Cornelius and husband Sterling of Kansas City, Missouri.
Preceded in death by his parents Orville and Carrie Stamper, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral Services will be Monday, January 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm, Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm prior to service time. Graveside Services will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 1:30 pm.
