James Albert Vowles

James Albert Vowles, 68, of Gainesville, MO passed to heaven on January 9, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born April 27, 1943 in Reno, NV. His parents were Leroy and Dorcas Vowles.
Mr. Vowles graduated from Ely High School in Ely, NV. After graduation he joined the National Guard. He worked for many years for Bell Telephone Company until he decided to go to work for himself. He continued in the telecommunications field working as a telephone contractor.
He and Linda Snowden were united in marriage on April 16, 1981 in Clearwater, TX. After he retired, the couple moved to Gainesville, MO. He absolutely loved the Ozarks. He enjoyed working with cedar and loved making wood furniture. If he wasn't fishing or doing something outdoors, he could always be found in his shop making another wood masterpiece.
Mr. Vowles was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Dorcas Vowles; two sisters; and one brother. He is survived by his wife Linda Vowles of the home in Gainesville, MO; his children Michelle Vowles and Jodie Vowles both of Sparks, NV, Joe Yount of Isabella, MO and Shawn Yount and wife Dara of Gainesville, MO; six grandchildren; four great grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11a.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 in the Hopewell Baptist Church, Mountain Home, AR with Louis Stephens officiating.
