Janet Carder

Janet Carder, 82 years and 7 months old, passed away on, June 23, 2023 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Missouri.

Janet was born November 23, 1940 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Oakey Johnson, Jr. and Thelma Louise (Barron) Carder.

Janet was a devout Methodist.

Janet was a middle school music teacher.  She was a musician, vocalist and artist.  Janet was a much loved mother and grandmother.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John "Buzz" Roger Carder.

Janet is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mende and Jim Thorn; three grandsons, Zachary and Lindsey, Alexander, and Benjamin and D'juliet; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Missouri in Janet's memory.  Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
