Janet (Haynes) Conger

Janet Conger Haynes died peacefully in her home on November 8, 2016 in Washington DC at the age of 64.

Janet Conger is survived by her Husband, Adam Conger; Children, Sherrie Williamsons, Sunny Weir, Shelly Taliaferro, Jenny Gray, Ronald Edwards; Siblings, Debbie Haynes and Roy Haynes of Springfield, MO; nieces, Michele Haynes Hill, and Tiffany Cook, nephew, Michael Haynes, Grandchildren, Derick Weir, Natasha Weir, Jacob Weir, Autumn Weir, Dakota Edwards, Nathan Williamsons, Kylie Rose Edwards, and Mason Gray. She is preceded in death by Parents Clyde and Virginia Haynes, and Son Robert Gray Jr.

Janet Haynes was born on 10/12/1952 in Ava, MO to Clyde and Virginia Haynes. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield, MO in 1970. She was married to Adam W. Conger for 20 years, who was a caring and nurturing husband. She lived in Henderson, Nevada where she was a Grandma of 6 grandkids who she cared for. Her children remember her as a hard working single mom, who always tried to provide for them no matter what, and taught them to be strong independent people. She loved to socialize with people, she also liked to learn about the family tree as well as their origins. Janet also loved to put old records on and dance and sing with her children.

Janet Conger was best known for her skills at crocheting and being a softball coach as her kids were growing up. In her spare time, she loved to solve crossword puzzles and watch 'Wheel of Fortune', 'Jeopardy', 'The Walton's', and 'Little House on the Prairie', whilst loving to listen and sing to Elvis Presley and The Beach Boys. She as well, loved her dog, Thomas, who was always by her side.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, November 18th, 2016 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava MO. Memorials are welcome. Memorials may be made to Shelly Taliaferro.
