Janice Lea (Irby) Bone, 57 years, passed to heaven on August 9, 2010 at Marshfield, MO.

Janice was born April 2, 1953 in Ava, MO to Curtis and Grace (Hicks) Hicks.

Janice was a resident of Conway for a few years moving from Springfield, MO. She enjoyed working as a Manager for the Rocking Chair Restaurant in Conway. She had also worked for several years at the Zenith Corp. in Springfield before it closed.

Janice was united in marriage to Steve Kirkland in Ava, MO. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her coffee. Most of all she loved being with all her grandkids and family.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Hicks, one brother, Richard Irby and a nephew, Kendall Clouse.


Janice is survived by her husband, Jerry Bone,Conway, MO, her parents, Grace Loraine & Ross Irby, Ava, MO, three sons and their wives, Chris & Amy Kirkland, Ava, MO, Brandon & Chantell Kirkland, Ozark, MO and Steven Kirkland, Conway, MO, five sisters & their husbands, Pat & Larry Engelhardt, Caledonia, MN, Carolyn & Darrell Hutchison, Ava, MO, Yvonne & Steve Willis, Fordland, MO, Debbie & Kenny Clouse, Mansfield, MO and Brenda & Jim Liniger, Ava, MO, three brothers and their wives, Fred & Chris Hicks, Squires, MO, Gary Hicks, Crane, MO, Raymond & Leslie Irby, Ava, MO, six grandchildren, Ryan, Kadance, Chase, Logan, David and Tanner, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Janice will be Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, 10:00 a.m. in the Girdner Cemetery, Girdner, MO. Visitation will be Wed. Aug. 11th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Welch. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
