JAY INGALLS

Jay Ingalls passed away Tuesday morning, August 14, 2007 at Gainesville Health Care Center. He was 73 years old. Jay was born on June 11, 1934 in Joliet, Illinois to Lou Earl Ingalls and Fern (Funk) Ingalls Otte. On December 13, 1957 Jay and Mickey Shiga were married in Japan. A retired Veteran of Korea and Vietnam, Jay served in the United States Air Force. After retirement Jay and Mickey made their home in the Ozarks.
Jay is survived by his wife Mickey Ingalls of Gainesville, Missouri, son Richard Ingalls and wife Patty of West Plains, Missouri, daughter Patricia Melzer of San Diego, California, and 7 grandchildren. Also survived by one brother Dan Otte of Greenville, South Carolina and one sister Gretchen Otte also of Greenville, South Carolina.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kenneth Ingalls. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, August 15, 2007 at 6:00 PM, cremation will follow under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville.
