Jean {Page} Johnston

Jean Johnston, 86 years, 6 months, and 13 days old, passed away on February 25, 2016 at Blue Mountain Care Center in Prairie City, Oregon.

Jean was born August 12, 1929 in Brushyknob, MO to Jack and Hazel (Bordner) Page.

On October 2, 1967 Jean and Eugene "Tunie" Johnston were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR.

Jean and "Tunie" made their home in Mtn. Grove for over 30 years.
Jean was retired from truck driving with her "Tunie" for many years. They got to truck drive all over the United States. They loved to travel to Vegas and stay at the El Cortez.

As a youngster, Jean enjoyed going with her mother, Hazel to the Brushyknob Church. In later years, Jean and "Tunie" would love to pick up Hazel and take her on their travels in the truck when they could. Jean thoroughly loved being with her family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her huband, Eugene "Tunie", two brothers, Wayne and Norman Page, one sister, Shirley Foster.


Jean is survived by four children, Ruby Diann Priest, Burns, OR, Jimmie Smith and wife,Sharon, John Day, OR, Jerry Johnston and wife, Carol Ann, Mtn. Grove, MO, and Rosalie Moody, Norwood, MO, several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, one sister, Ruby Butzler, Marshfield, MO, two brothers, Don Page, Emmett, Idaho and Royce Page, Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jean will be Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Brushyknob Cemetery, east of Ava. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Brushyknob Cemetery.
