Jerald Wayne "Jerry" Huff, Sr.

Jerald Wayne Huff, 75 years, 2 months, 5 days old, passed away on January 31, 2017 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Jerry was born November 26, 1941 in Roy, MO in Douglas County to Willie and Nina (Morehead) Huff.


Jerry was a retired Insurance Broker and worked with many insurance companies. He had worked for over 45 years.

Jerry and Leslie Jean (Lirley) Hampton were united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1992 in Ava, MO.

He was a Christian and a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Jerry enjoyed all sports, southern gospel music, singing, traveling, and attending church.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Helen Hawkins, Lavon Swearengin, and one brother, Jack Huff.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Jean Huff, Ava, MO, three sons, Jerald Wayne Huff, Jr., Deon Huff, and Leon Huff all of Fayetteville, AR, three step sons, David Hampton, Danny Hampton, and Jake Hampton all of Ava, MO, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several step grandchildren, many step great grandchildren, one brother, Randy Huff, Sparta, MO, one sister, Wanda June Humbyrd, Pasco, WA, many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Jerry will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home .Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Dockum and Pastor Randy Hilton. Memorials may be made to Goodhope Cemetery or Gideon's International.
