Jerry Lee Jones, 58 years, 3 months, 5 days old, passed away on, February 1, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Jerry was born October 26, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to Lee Delbert Jones and Nellie Lavon (Nelson) Jones.

Jerry was a 1977 Ava High School graduate. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. Jerry worked as a truck driver for Pepsi when he was in Oklahoma.

He was a Christian and he read his Bible everyday.
Jerry enjoyed watching his Christian, western, and wrestling shows. He also enjoyed target shooting, music, and most of all being with his family!

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Lee in 2015.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Nellie Lavon Jones, Ava, MO, four sisters and their spouses, Mavis & Ted Tucker, Marshfield, MO, Marilyn & Tom Kingery, Mansfield, MO, Kathy & Ronnie Stacy, Cape Fair, MO, and LaDonna & Doyle Belt, Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Jerry will be Sat. Feb. 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Mt. Olive Cemetery (Highlonesome) with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post #112. Officiating will be Bishop Barrus. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home.
