Jerry Lee Morton, 82 years, 5 months, and 3 days old, passed away on, June 25, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Jerry was born January 22, 1940 in Decatur, Illinois to Victor Rodell and Helen Marie (Roberts) Morton.

Jerry was a Christian and when able attended the Evansdale Church.

Jerry and Jo Ellen Leek were united in marriage on November 18, 1960 in Ava, Missouri and to this union five children were born.

Jerry enjoyed hauling hay and working on cars.  People from all around would come and let Jerry fix their vehicles.

Jerry had been a resident of the Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri for the last four years.  The family would like to thank all the nurses, staff and residents for the care they gave to Jerry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; baby sister, Barbara Jean Morton; sister, Georganne Robey; brother cousin, Jimmy Roberts and son-in-law, John Dawson.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Jo; children, Michael Lee Morton, Teresa Ann Liles and husband, Billy, Cindy Sue Schroeder, Joseph Allen Morton and wife, Julie, and Billie Jo Dawson;  14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Dean Gonzalez, Ron Gonzalez, Bruce Gonzalez and Richard Morton; sister, Maria Gonzalez and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jerry will be Wednesday, June 29 2022 at 10:00 A.M.   in the Evansdale Church on Hwy 14 east of Ava with burial to follow in the Evans Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Burcham.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to their charity of choice.   Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
