Lyle Jenkins

Jesse Lyle Jenkins, son of Jesse Lee and Freda M. (Harnden) Jenkins was born on August 8, 1939 west of Ava, Missouri and departed this life on October 14, 2006 in Ava at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 6 days.
Lyle was a life long resident of the Ava area where he was a dairy farmer. He was an Air Force veteran and served from 1957 till 1961.
On March 3, 1963 Lyle and Sydney Rees Evans were united in marriage at Oakley, Kansas and to this union two children were born. He enjoyed working on family genealogy, growing plants in the greenhouse, building furniture out of old oak barn boards and taking care of his farm and cattle.
He was preceded in death by one grandson Joshua and his parents Jesse and Freda Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife Sydney of 43 years, two sons Jimmy Lee Jenkins of Ava & Jerry Wayne Jenkins of Fort Smith, Arkansas, three grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins, Julie Jenkins and Thomas Jenkins,
one brother Bill Jenkins and wife Kathy of Oronogo, MO & three sisters Virginia Jones and husband Gordon, Strafford, MO, Joann Austin and husband Evon of Smithville, MO, Laurie Bon Jour of Bastrop, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2 P. M. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, Missouri and burial in Denney Cemetery with Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Visitation is Monday 7-8 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association. Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, Missouri.
