Jimmy Dean Sell, 83 years, 11 months, 13 days old, passed on to Heaven on September 19, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.

Jim was born October 6, 1934 in Ava, Missouri on the family farm to James and Florence (Goodnight) Sell. Jim graduated from Ava High School in 1952.

Jim retired from working at MFA in 1997. He also raised cattle on the family farm all of his life.

On November 18, 1954 Jim and Shirley Seay were united in marriage in Sunflower, Kansas and were blessed with three children, Randy, Chip and Beth.

Jim is a Christian and enjoyed serving at Ava Highway Church of the Nazarene as a member for many years. He enjoyed bird hunting, his cattle, dogs and Ava Bear football. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Sell.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, three children and their spouses, Randy & Kathy Sell, Ozark, Misssouri, Chip & Jodie Sell, and Beth & Buddy Irby all of Ava, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother and wife, Don & Juanita Sell, Springfield, Missouri, a host of other relatives, friends and his loving dog, Daisy.

Graveside services for Jim will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fannon Cemetery, Ava, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Shane Weaver. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or Ava Highway Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, Rt. 2, Box 774, Ava, Missouri 65608. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Ava, Missouri.
