Graveside services for Jimmy Anthony Griffin of Caulfield, MO, aged 76, will be held 2 pm May 2nd, 2016 at the Marshall Cemetery in Caulfield, with Pastor David Evans officiating. Mr. Griffin died April 28th, 2016 at his home.

He was born July 25th, 1939 at Elijah, the son of Johnnie M. Griffin and Jewell (James) Griffin.

Jimmy Griffin was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He worked the family farm and operated a saw mill with his two brothers. He loved hunting and fishing, playing his guitar and fiddle, and woodworking on his lathe. He was also the family mechanic, helping anyone who had equipment or auto problems.

He loved his family and spent many hours being the family chronologist with his video camera, capturing family holidays and special times. He enjoyed spending time with nieces and nephews, sharing many 4-wheeler rides with toddlers over the years, and as they grew he taught them to drive the tractor and play the guitar, took them fishing for that big one, took them hunting and taught them to field-dress their first deer kill.

Survivors include: two brothers, John Griffin and Joe Griffin of the family home; five sisters, Sunny Barzelogna of Bunnell, FL, Jean Griffin of the family home, Linna Wells of Sarcoxie, MO, Susan Taylor and husband Dennis of Caulfield, MO, and Cynthia Leonard and husband Lewis of Chelan, WA; seven nephews, three nieces, as well as a number of grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, an infant sister, brother-in-law Raymond Wells, and brother-in-law Robert Barzelogna.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Fund at Century Bank of the Ozarks.
