Jimmy Martin Hathcock, 60 years, 2 months, and 17 days old, passed away on January 23, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO with his wife, Jo and family by his side.

Jimmy was born November 6, 1962 in Springfield, Missouri to Martin John and Mary Ann (Hartley) Hathcock.

On December 13, 1980, Jimmy and Jo Lynne Armstrong were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri and were blessed with two children.

Jimmy was a life long truck driver.

Jimmy was raised in the Goodhope Community.  He was a Christian and a member of the Goodhope General Baptist Church.

He was a devoted family man. Jimmy was simply the best and had a smile that made you smile right back. He loved fishing, farming, and spending time with grandchildren.   His legacy of love will live on in his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary Ann; his in-laws, Jack & Peggy Armstrong; his brother in law, Ed Koca.

He is survived by his wife, Jo; his children and their spouses, Brandon & Summer Hathcock and Elizabeth & Mike Bledsoe; nine grandchildren, Dakota and Hope, Breeanna, Jorie, Tristan "Moz", Ashton, Michael, Austin, and Katie; his siblings and their spouses, Kathy Jo Koca, Janice & DeWayne Mitchell, Pat "Kim" & Wes Smith, Ronda & Eleazar Soto and Bob & Tari Hathcock; many nieces; nephews; many other extended family and numerous friends.

Funeral services for Jimmy will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to service time.  Officiating will be Pastor Jack Clemans and Pastor James Hathcock. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering to help with medical expenses, Gideon's International or The Mt. Tabor Cemetery.  Burial of cremains will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
