Isabella, MO
Jimmy Don Whitaker, 72, of Isabella, MO passed to heaven on July 31, 2011 at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO. He was born January 14, 1939 in Ava, MO to J.D. and Sylvia (Duckworth) Whitaker.
Jimmy had been a resident of the Isabella area for 25 years. After leaving Ava, MO several years ago, he had lived in different parts of the country, but always called Missouri his home. He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish or just sit on the front porch. He was a very easy going and fun loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents J.D. and Sylvia (Duckworth) Whitaker. He is survived by two sisters Vivian Steinhaus and Fern Whitaker; nephew Dennis Cox; nieces Shela Genz, Diana Alisauskis and Stephanie Smetana; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Jimmy will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in the Otter Creek Cemetery. Officiating will be Don Yarger. On line condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
